Kitty Hawk- Ronald H. Tillett, 62, of Kitty Hawk, NC, beloved husband, father, stepfather, & grandfather died suddenly Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Ronnie, a Kitty Hawk native, was born August 28, 1947 to Alton Clay Tillett and Elizabeth Pentecost Tillett.

He spent his life as a local carver and owned an operated Bill & Till Landscaping Services and was an active member of the Outer Banks Harley Owners Group. He loved his family, the occasional cigar and was an avid fan of First Flight High School Athletics, where his step sons participated in many activities. He was a loyal friend to many, was generous to a fault, spoke ill of none and he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Dawn Davis Tillett of Kitty Hawk, his son James Clay Tillett and wife, Ashley Tillett of Linn Creek, MO, son Samuel Isaac Tillett and daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Tillett, both of Lebanon, MO, Stepdaughter Meghann Cole Pauls and husband Jamie Lee Pauls, of Kill Devil Hills, Meredith Cole Watts and husband Hagen Watts of Linn Creek, MO, Stepsons Aubrey Waid Cole and Gerald Waid Cole of Kitty Hawk, and grandchildren Grace Elizabeth Tillett, Judah Tillett, Cole Hagen Watts and Abigail Lee Pauls.

Calling hours will be at the Gallop Funeral Services Chapel MP 16 in Nags Head Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 6-8 pm. A graveside funeral service will be held at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk on Monday, February 15th at 11 am. The Reverend Robert Pitsch will officiate. Following the funeral a celebration of life will take place at at Lucky 12 Tavern in Nags Head. There will be a memorial motorcycle ride sponsored by Outer Banks H.O.G. Chapter and details about the ride may be found at www.outerbankshog.com. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society's Outer Banks Relay for Life.
